Networking for the New Decade: New Year’s Resolutions Revisited

J. Kelly Hoey - Build Your Dream Network

The eve of a new year (and new decade) is a great time to reflect and celebrate career milestones, as it can be so easy to overlook smaller but significant wins when you’re laser focused on one big goal.

In this episode of the Build Your Dream Network podcast, Kelly shares a thoughtful reminder to pause and enjoy all you’ve accomplished. This is advice she received from explorer and adventurer, Alison Levine. As Kelly notes:

Alison urged me to celebrate every milestone on my career journey to becoming a published author. From writing a book proposal to submitting it to agents to getting a publisher to delivering a manuscript on time to holding a copy of the book gallery in my hands the first time – and so on. You get the idea.

Every step is an accomplishment worth celebrating. Every big goal is made possible because of all the many smaller steps or goals that come before it.

That’s worth remembering when we feel lost in the fuzz of career uncertainty or a goal seems so far off in the distance.

The episode of the podcast also revisits the recent episode, “Use Your Network To Achieve Your New Year’s Resolutions,” to help you gear up for the exciting new year and decade ahead. Stay focused!
