In his book Ideas Are Your Only Currency author Rob Judkins challenges the reader to design camouflage for an urban animal (“can you hide a grizzly bear in McDonald’s?”).
Why even bother?!! IS my sarcastic reaction to this creative exercise.
My why bother is not to kick creativity to the curb. Just think about how we move about in this world – from buses to cabs to planes to well, frankly sitting around the dining room table:
Why bother when we all have our faces stuck in our mobile devices?
Here’s a #BYDN challenge for you:
What if you just left your phone in your pocket…what opportunities to provide assistance or to spark a new idea or even the chance to simply be inspired, lend an idea, suggestion or hand could you have?
Think about it. Without looking at your phone.
Now, give this a try.
What are THREE things you can do on your phone that you could do IRL instead?
Feeling really brave? Then try this:
Scroll through the images stored on your mobile device.
Did your phone have a more engaging time at a recent event than you did?
If you answered yes, then repeat the pictured activity or retrace your steps, without using the camera on your phone.
