First concert sans parental supervision, Cheap Trick with the Pat Travers Band as the opening act (I remember this, and what I wore, which was so nerdy, as I dressed for an 8th grade teeny-bop in the school gym not a concert at the local hockey arena). First album purchased, Chic (yes, Nile Rodgers is on my celebrity sighting list, and having been a resident of NYC since 1998, I duly reined in my inner 14 year-old self from screaming ‘I LOVE YOU NILE” as I passed him on 72nd Street West as he exited the subway).
