The Myth of the Nice Girl: Achieving a  Career You Love Without Becoming a Person You Hate by Fran Hauser (New York /Mariner Books /Houghton Mifflin Harcourt 2019)

Why you should read it: Not simply because Fran is one of the nicest, most accomplished corporate executive/VC  I know. Her book is filled with relatable real-life examples (cringeworthy moments you may be experiencing or anticipating) and suggested scripts to help guide you through those moments. It is also a relief to know that being kind at work is not a career crippling strategy.
