Friends, fans, followers – what’s an influencer doing when they have a job and a life offline too? Zainab Ebrahimi spills her daily social habits.
Name: Zainab Ebrahimi
Me: Which social media/networking site is your first site of the day – and why?
Zainab: Honestly? Instagram. I'm not much of a morning person and getting a little energy boost from scrolling thru cool pictures from photographers, artists or friends wakes me up.
Me: What types of content are you drawn to or what conversations do you engage in?
Zainab: New and different ideas/opinions always draw my attention, but I mostly go for anything related to empowering minorities, women and girls, solving real world problems with tech, the importance of UX and human behavior, traveling adventures, conversations on how to be healthier, happier and more productive, basketball and muay thai!
Me: What makes social media valuable (or enjoyable) for you?
Zainab: Everyone has a voice and has a chance to make their voice heard. You can share and consume content and opinions. It's a place for all points of view and all sorts of funny odd stuff.
Me: Could you give up your social networking habit if you had to?
Zainab: I def could and would if I thought my habits weren't healthy.
Me: How frequently do you post on social media?
Zainab: A few times per week
Me: Do you use any tools / platforms to manage your social media accounts? If so, which ones?
Zainab: Not really.
Me: Who or What are your favorite sources of insight?
Me: Who or What are your favorite sources of amusement?
Zainab: I love gifs! I have a chrome extension called animatedtabs that displays a new funny gif with every new tab.
Me: What do you use to post to social media?
Zainab: Laptop, Mobile
Me: When do you use laptop, mobile, or desktop to post to social media?
Zainab: I mostly use my laptop to post on social media, while I'm at work. When at home or on the go, my phone is my main device.
Me: Which other social networking sites are your go-to sites?
Zainab: Twitter. It responds to my "Hello world, what's new? what's going?". It's also my outlet to sharing content and opinions. I check Hackernews from time to time to get a peek into whats trending tech wise. Pinterest is my guilty pleasure. I pin stuff mostly related to lifestyle hacks (healthy living, recipes, workouts, crafty ideas, etc).
