Friends, fans, followers – what’s an influencer doing when they have a job and a life offline too? Andrea Cook spills her daily social habits.
Name: Andrea Cook
Title: Visual Storyteller. Changeologist. Artist @ #Strollwithme Director of Innovation @ http://26FIVE.com #DigitalDash #RobotShack #MuseInMe #TechLoveArt
Me: Which social media/networking site is your first site of the day – and why?
Andrea: Facebook. It’s personal and visual and is my way of connecting to those closest to me, kinda like I used to, in the old days, with my phone and answering machine.
Me: What types of content are you drawn to or what conversations do you engage in?
Andrea: I’m jazzed about anything innovative. Stories that are shaking up humanity. Also, as an entrepreneur, I appreciate success stories. I believe we all have a purpose and need to encourage each other to fan the fire of the future.
Me: What makes social media valuable (or enjoyable) for you?
Andrea: I have met so many amazing individuals and have learned SO much through my social media activities. Most of all, I appreciate the connection with other humans.
Me: Could you give up your social networking habit if you had to?
Andrea: Not likely, but anything is possible if "I HAD TO."
Me: How frequently do you post on social media?
Andrea: Every day
Me: Do you use any tools / platforms to manage your social media accounts? If so, which ones?
Andrea: Sometimes. Though, I’m a fair weather user… I’m not married to any.
Me: Who or What are your favorite sources of insight?
Andrea: I am subscribed to emailers and like to skim headliners but typically I am inspired and get the most juice from face to face conversations.
Me: Who or What are your favorite sources of amusement?
Andrea: My own puffy clouds above my head. I have a strange sense of humor and I am always thinking in SNL storyboards.
Me: What do you use to post to social media?
Andrea: Laptop, Mobile
Me: When do you use laptop, mobile, or desktop to post to social media?
Andrea: I am an oversharer on Instagram, which is mobile. Much like your #viewfromhere posts, I share #strollwithme posts. I’ve been able to connect with people from all over the globe, in real time through photo sharing via mobile. It is one of my favorite past times in fact.
Me: Which other social networking sites are your go-to sites?
Andrea: I love instagram, twitter and whatsapp.
Me: Where can we follow you online?
Andrea: Find me everywhere at @andreacook. My art page is available on Facebook at facebook.com/AndreaCookChangeologist. I share the visual stories of my art shows with hashtags on a variety of social media platforms. Check out #robotshack #strollwithme #techloveart and my NEXT SHOW #museinme - which by the way, I do hope you will come by, Tuesday Aug 25th at the Museum of Sex! Ooo La La!
