Of course, a list begets more suggestions to the original list. So here are a few additions:
- a social enterprise that makes locally sourced snacks - and employs women who have been formerly incarcerated, homeless or otherwise disadvantaged. Available at numerous retail locations in the District of Columbia and Virginia plus online.
- an e-commerce site that is truly philanthropic; purchasing a single dress leads to the creation of school uniforms for girls in Africa.
