J. Kelly Hoey

One of the networking tips I always give to women is this: at events where name tags are required, always wear your name tag clipped high on your right shoulder, that way, when you shake hands during an introduction, your name is visible to the person you’re meeting — at a comfortable eye-level. l loved learning over omelets and conversation a few weeks ago, that my friend, Andrew Grill, Global Managing Partner, Social Consulting at IBM, doles out the same networking tip….for the same obvious reason: he can easily locate the person’s name without the awkwardness of staring at their chest.
